Professor Bassem K. Khafagy recently met with Professor Dr. Özlenen Özkan, rector of Akdeniz University, in Antalya, Turkey.

The meeting took place at the rector office in Antalya, Turkey. Prof. Khafagy and Prof. Özkan discussed the importance of W- S-U as an international initiative, and both agreed to consider potential collaboration.
Prof. Özkan also kindly accepted the speaking invitation, and stressed that “Akdeniz University will support the WSU Global summit .. and will also support W-S-U on the way to the Summit”
Possible collaboration between the Summit and the University on common aspirations and interests in medical education, space education, and smart applications in higher education were discussed.
The meeting was part of a series of leadership meetings with university rectors in Turkey to explore potential partnerships on the ongoing and upcoming initiatives of the World Summit on Universities, W-S-U.
